Trauma Sensitive Yoga

Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based practice that can be used to relieve the symptoms of trauma, grief, anxiety, or PTSD. TCTSY uses elements of traditional hatha yoga where students move into various physical forms. Invitatory language and choices are consistent throughout the session to allow students to determine how their practice unfolds. Interoception is introduced to allow students a way to notice what sensations or feelings arrive in their bodies. There are no hands on assists given and all physical forms are demonstrated by the facilitator.

Group Sessions

Each class is consistent with slight variations in physical forms at times. Length can be determined upon booking. Pricing may vary based on class duration.

Half Day Workshop

Group workshops allow the participants to delve deeper into the foundations of TCTSY: Yoga, Neuroscience, Attachment Theory, and Trauma Theory. Each participant will walk away knowing the basics of what TCTSY is and why each component is so important to cultivate in the practice. Prices vary based on number of participants.
